What is your country's policy on immigration? Would you want to be an immigrant in your country? Why or why not?

My country, Myanmar, the policy on immigration is strict for the people who wants to migrate in the other foreign countries, especially for United States and Japan. The immigration is not so strict to the people compared to the United States' immigration. There are a lot of Indian and Chinese people who starts business in my country. They have a luxourious life in my country. Their accommodation is usually better than us. In addition, their business influenced on us. So, I do not want those immigrants in my country. They blog citizen's civil right by thier business power. I want to be immigrant in my country because my country has lots of natural sources.

  1. Sometimes immigration is either good or bad. I like your thought that immigrants will create more unemployment rate and business opportunities in our countries. In a way, they are good to provide job opportunities to local people.

  2. Khoun, do you mean lower the unemployment rate or increase it?

Saintsan, am I understanding your words correctly? Are you saying it is hard to leave your country to emigrate to the US or Japan, that the laws discourage it?

  3. KK, a new establishment of business will create more job opportunities. Thus, the unemployment rate will drop and it helps to boost the economic in one country. A low unemployment rate will also minimize the social ill and bring to a higher quality of life.

Elle, I am sad to hear that those business powers can actually block your civil right in your country. Is the people who has money can be the government? Don't you think the businesses create more advantages than its disadvantages? In the last sentence, do you mean that if you would have to choose, you would like to migrate to Myanmar? What if you are one of the businesswomen who seeks for the opportunities to venture your business in Myanmar? Do you think people in Myanmar will hate you as you do?
